Woodpecker began firefighting in 1994.  From the amount of employees to the amount of equipment, the company has grown tremendously in recent years. Woodpecker’s manifest now has nearly 100 trained firefighters including several Class-B fallers, two Class-C fallers, and an EMT. Woodpecker’s goal is to provide well-trained and professional type 2 twenty person hand crews. The company also puts high emphasis on practicing mutual respect for others, professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.

The Woodpecker is a multiple crew wildland firefighting entity with vast experience in line suppression, initial attack, indirect attack, back burning, assisting in helicopter bucket drops, cutting fire line, hose lay, mop up operations, and rehabilitation.
